META COMP IDENTIFICATION

How do Challenger players have an understanding of the meta so fast? What tools are there to help those who are not within the Challenger bubble? This guide will help give you the tools to find the S tier comps faster.

  1. Data tracking sites like Tactics.tools or Teamfight.lol.

These sites have all the stats on items, augments and team comps! The lower the average placement, the better the augment is of course.

  1. Watch streams of top players on patch release day and see what they’re playing.

If you have extra time, watching VODs of Challenger players after a patch drops helps you identify what comps are good. Pay attention to what the streamers are playing and what comps are winning Challenger lobbies.

  1. You can also join communities that are active to discuss viable comps on patch day.

Any active TFT community works, but I highly recommend my own. I usually limit test comps on patch day and give any insight I can find in my Discord. After I’ve established a solid read on the meta (which usually takes a day or two), I’ll host a free group coaching session to give my insight and answer any questions!
